HATCH ARCHITECTS brings a uniquely holistic approach to design – seamlessly combining the site, architecture, interior design and project management to ensure quality and peace of mind.
Our comprehensive process takes our projects from design through to completion, and typically involves four distinct phases. To start, all projects begin with a site inspection where we discuss the overall requirements and establish the brief.
Once the brief is established and fee proposal is approved, we progress into the four phases, which are briefly outlined below:
PHASE 1 : DESIGN
We will work together to develop a detailed brief, then develop the schematic design in 3D which best responds to the brief, site, and budget requirements of the project. Often a number of design options are explored when we foresee exciting alternative solutions.
PHASE 2 : DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL
This phase involves developing the plans further and obtaining either a Development Application through Council, or a Complying Development Certificate through a Private Certifier.
PHASE 3 : DOCUMENTATION
This phase involves working with our trusted team of engineers, certifiers, and sub-consultants to develop the approved design. It also involves detailed design documentation and a competitive tender to a number of reputable contractors.
PHASE 4 : CONSTRUCTION
This phase involves construction administration and working closely with the selected contractor to build your new home.
