BARN HOUSE
HATCH Architects transformed this dilapidated dual-occupancy dwelling into a spacious family home that reinterprets the contemporary barn aesthetic through a sculptural, light-filled approach that fuses rustic warmth with high-end design.
Positioned on a sunny, dual-access corner site, the home is conceived as a sanctuary for family life. Clean lines, expansive glazing, and carefully framed garden vistas shape the spatial experience, while an intelligent plan arranges all living and entertaining spaces at ground level, with four bedrooms above. A natural stone kitchen forms the centrepiece of the home and flows seamlessly to a north-facing garden, heated pool and cabana. The inviting pool area provides an outdoor oasis, enhancing the connection between the home and its surrounding natural landscape, with a design that implements luxurious finishes and sustainable materials.
